Ted DiBiase and his financial 'investors' are pleased to announce that WCW has bought their way out of the pre-arranged television agreement between the PWA and the CW Network.
Over the past month, WCW has been hosting shows based on an old PWA contract. With a stationary arena, there will be less overhead and a 'better connection' with the staff, fans and viewers of the WCW product.
WCW will be returning to TBS. In an effort to treat his employees better, Mr. DiBiase has leased the Frank L. Forbes Arena from the Morehouse College, to minimize their travel time and their time away from family.
It is the home of the Morehouse College Maroon Tigers Basketball team. In exchange for using the 6,000 seat arena, Mr. DiBiase has pledged to upgrade the arena as well as several other of the college's buildings and sponsor various sporting events for the college.
WCW will start airing the return of WCW Saturday Night THIS WEEK!! The Main event will be the defense of the WWA World Cruiserweight Championship!
WCW has also determined that unless they are contracted WWA Champions, they will no longer appear on PWA events. This is an attempt to re-define the WCW product.
To further themselfs for the PWA, WCW will be bringing back the Clash of the Champions event twice a year and will be producing 4 WCW exclusive Pay-Per-View events: Battlebowl, Mayhem, No Surrender and Bound for Glory.
WCW will still be a member of the WWA and will participate in events as requested. WCW will aslo invite other members from time to time to participate in WCW sanctioned events.
