If one of the WWA World Champions is not booked to defend in another WWA promotion, the champion stays based in their home promotion.
WWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion: Based out of PWA
WWA World Cruiserweight Champion: Based out of PWA
WWA World Light Heavyweight Champion: Based out of New Japan
WWA World Middleweight Champion: Based out of CMLL
WWA World Welterweight Champion: Based out of CMLL
WWA World Tag Team Champions: Based out of PWA
WWA World Hardcore Champion: Based out of WWA Singapore (temporary based out of PWA)

This leads to two questions.
1 Should the WWA keep all four lightweight groups OR merge them into one title?
2 Should the WWA keep the WWA World Hardcore title or retire it?

i feel we should keep them if we have all the regional feds as the welterweight is mexico
light heavyweight has always been japan and the cruiserweight was more of an american thing middleweight has been i believe both so i dunno what does everyone else think

If you want to make them regional titles, take the "world" name off of them. Otherwise merge into one true lightweight world title. I am having hell trying to book that title full time. I love a good hardcore match from time to time when needed, but lets face it - this 90's are over. In 2010 hardcore wrestling is not an everyday match in the PWA. So if no more WWA Singpore - no more World Hardcore title - UNLESS IPW wants to book it full time. IF that is the case, the PWA would still book it on everyother PPV,

I think the best idea is to merge the four titles into one WWA World Title. Which name do you like: WWA World Lightweight Title or WWA World Cruiserweight Title?
I am unsure if we should keep Singapore around on paper or not. Ideas?

lets keep singapore around on paper for the shoot fight title and hardcore titles ill also book them in NJPW
if you want ill occasionaly write singapore show maybe like once a month
also on the whole unifying the lighter weight belts i think since CMLL will be active you should keep the welter weight belt as a world title in mexico, do the Light Heavyweight title in Japan since it's booked in Japan, and is known as a japanese title. book the World Cruiserweight in America, if you want unify it with the middleweight and call it the World Junior Heavyweight title.... but i feel teh welterweight title could do well in all the international feds, and the same with the light heavyweight title and we can work on booking them in other feds. i just feel we shoudl keep the around i mean it is tradition. teh wwa has been tradition to have these belt.s and even have the hardcore and shoot fight titles. i know a bit about mma and shoot fighters so i can maybe help revive this division in singapore and NJPW
this is just my opinion of course and i know that i cant make these calls but this is just my idea on all of it
sorry for be inacitve as of late but i am picking up the pace now

My take on it:
- Middleweight & Welterweight Championships - merge them and base the new title in Mexico
Crusierweight & Light Heavyweight Championships - I would merge theses as well and base the new title in Japan. The PWA can book the new championship as needed.
This would be if 2 championships are even needed. I think that only 1 is really even needed.
Just my 2 cents

I like all the ideas, but we clearly can not do all of them.
We will keep Singapore open. The Hardcore and Shoot Titles will be based there. Once a month shows would be great.
I tend to go with Sam on a merged Cruiserweight/Light Heavyweight (call it WWA World Cruiserweight Title) and merged Middleweight/Welterweight (call it WWA World Welterweight Title), thus leaving two titles. I think that makes more sense and all the promotions might tend to book them better. Any other comments?
Thanks to everyone for all the input. It looks like the WWA is back on track.

I think the WWA World Cruiserweight Title and WWA World Welterweight Title sounds cool. I am working to rebuild the lightweights in the PWA (McMahon era killed it) and we will try to book both titles when we can. I will build an angle around this with Bryan Danielson. I want to move him out of the lightweights anways.
Cool on WWA Singapore too. I might take the Hardcore belt off CM Punk soon.

That leaves us 1) WWA World Cruiserweight Title 2) WWA World Welterweight Title
Now we have to get champions into place. Ideas?

NJPW Jr. Weight Champion, Hiroshi Tanahashi I think could be a good contender as well as current WWA World Light Heavyweight Champion, Masakatsu Funaki and former Champion, Naomichi Marufuji could also be a top contender..........
and then whoever are the top contenders for the CW title, and the CW Champion.. prolly do a unification and let PWA and NJPW share it. the welterweight can be CMLL and i will even book it some probably as well

Any updates on the WWA World Cruiserweight/Light Heavyweight merger? The PWA is moving ahead with a PWA Cruiserweight Title, as we are regrowing the division now.
Let me know when we want to do the merger. Remember that Byran Danielson threw the WWA World Cruiserweight belt down and left it, but I do not know if the WWA has stripped him or not. Never heard anything back.

Remember that Byran Danielson threw the WWA World Cruiserweight belt down and left it.... When did that happen? I never saw that on any PWA show.

I think that show got lost. Its not listed on the archives page. He did not quit as champion really, he just left the belt in the ring and walked off...then soon after he challenged John Cena. I would guess if he does not defend in 30 days the WWA will take the title away.
