WWA SINGAPORE
RESULTS FROM 09/21/10
Before the show, the promoter headed out to announce that tonight would be the official beginning of the WWA World Shoot Fight Title tournament! He said the participants fighting tonight would include Singapore's own The Monk and Kazunari Murakami, taking on outsiders NJPW's Minoru Tanaka and PWA's Buddy "Bam Bam" McElroy! McElroy got a huge ovation, as there are many PWA fans in Singapore! The show then got underway.
SINGLES MATCH
“The Baby Faced Assassin” Josh Barnett vs. Johnny Rhodes w/ "Mr. Hardcore" Patrick Smith
Josh Barnett had superior size and used it his advantage in this match. Barnett is a wrestling champion, and was able to fight off and physically toss Rhodes with any attempts at a take down. Rhodes was obliterated with a big overhand punch, followed by a knee to the chest that took him down for the ten count.
After the match, Patrick Smith attacked Barnett with a chair! He then choked him down onto the mat, and then took a mic, saying that he thought he could make a fool of Johnny Rhodes, but he could never do that to "Mr. Hardcore," and he'll prove it next week!
TAG TEAM MATCH
Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski & Greg “The Lion” Lewis vs. "The Crazy Monkey" Jun Kasai & Nightstalker
A lot of styles clashing here, as the shoot fighters took on the hardcore maniacs. This match went all over the outside, as Kasai and Nightstalker wanted this to be more in their element, and tried to stay away from the mat. The fans were amazed by Kasai, who flew from the top and smashed Lewis on the floor! Arlovski was bleeding, but this seemed to really upset him. Arlovski would deliver a powerful kick to Kasai and then a series of punches to rock Nightstalker, before taking things back into the ring. Nightstalker would get to his feet and punch Arlovski, but the "Pitbull" would grin right through it and deliver a powerful punch combo to take him down, following that with a punt kick to the head of Nightstalker on the mat to take him down for the 10 count.
HARDCORE MATCH
Singapore Death Warrior vs. Crimson Mask
Bloody and brutal match from these two, as we saw them assault each other with a number of weapons, ranging from chairs, to trashcans, some barbed wire, and the ever popular Singapore cains! The match came to an end when Crimson Mask delivered a Chokeslam to SDW onto some thumbtacks to get the pinfall.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Shunji Feng Chu & Ryuma Goto vs. Soi Moon Mon & The Hangman

TAG TEAM MATCH
Shunji Feng Chu & Ryuma Goto vs. Soi Moon Mon & The Hangman
Shunji Feng Chu lead the charge once again this week, using big kicks and hard knife edged chops to send his opponents reeling. Moon Mon, a local Singapore native, really got the fans behind him, as he refused to quit and he a series of DDTs on Feng Chu to rock him hard. Goto would get up after a big Moonsault from Moon Mon, showing a bit of heart of his own. The Hangman relied mostly on brawling and weapons, but fell victim to a Brainbuster from Feng Chu onto a chair to lose the match.
Moon Mon got a mic after the match, and said he wanted a shot at Shunji Feng Chu one-on-one next week! Feng Chu accepted, and they shook hands.
HARDCORE MATCH
Abdullah Kobayashi vs. "The Dark Warrior" Anthius
Anthius used a high risk style in this match, trying to stay away from the bigger Kobayashi, who wrestles in a very kamikaze fashion. Anthius' biggest spot came as he was rocking the former World Hardcore champion on the outside, before propping him up onto a table and hitting a Senton Bomb from the top to smash him through it! Abdullah shocked everyone by kicking out of that, showing he is still one of the toughest in the world! Kobayashi would go on to deliver a big back suplex off of the apron on a table, crushing Anthius on the back of his head and neck, and that was it for "The Dark Warrior."
SINGLES MATCH
Aleksander “Grim Reaper” Emelianenko vs. Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic
Aleksander and Mirko are both ice men in that ring, and the stare down could have froze the entire country. Cro Cop was looking for the flashy kick finish early, but Aleksander was able to duck it and sweep the leg. Cro Cop would manage to get back to his feet, but Emelianenko charged, catching him with a number of rights and lefts and then another tackle to take him down. Mirko rained down on him with sharp elbows, but Aleksander would isolate the left arm and grip it into a Jugigatame, stretching the arm and forcing the tap out.
Aleksander got on the microphone after the match, and had a translator working for him. He said that he and his brother are the toughest fighters in the World, and he believes Russia is the toughest country on Earth! He said that he can beat anyone in Singapore, no matter who it is, where they are from, if they fight here, they will be conquered!
Renato "Babalu" Sorbal came to the ring and challenged "Grim Reaper," stating that he thinks he believes he is the best in the World, but he wants to prove there is only one best fighter in Singapore, and it's "Babalu!"
WWA SHOOT FIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT
The Monk vs. Minoru Tanaka
Two very tough fighters headed into the ring for this match, as NJPW's Tanaka took on the hardcore and shoot fight legend, The Monk. The Monk was taken down early, and had to supress Tanaka's advances, as he looked to lock on an armbar. The Monk managed to get things back up to the feet when he nearly locked Tanaka into a triangle choke. Tanaka showed he was very versed up top, backing The Monk up with roundhouse kicks and a spinning heel kick, before connecting with a fake out roundhouse kick to the head. The Monk was rocked, but tried to come back with a left uppercut and a haymaker, but Tanaka managed to catch him with a Northern Lights suplex right into an armbar he calls the Minoru Special, getting the submission and the advancement!
WWA SHOOT FIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT
SINGLES MATCH
Kazunari Murakami vs. Buddy “Bam Bam” McElroy[/b]
Buddy McElroy definitely had the size advantage, and charged across the ring early. McElroy was able to hammer Murakami in the corner, only to get grabbed by the back of the head and assaulted with knees to the midsection, before taking a big knee to the jaw. McElroy dropped, and Murakami headed down and started raining punches onto him. "Bam Bam" managed to turn it over and mounted Murakami, pounding him with big hammer blows and then trying to turn him over and lock on a Rear Naked Choke. Murakami wouldn't have it, as he broke his arm free and caught McElroy with a back elbow to knock him off the mount. Murakami would wind up, yelling out, and delivered a huge uppercut that sent "Bam Bam" falling back into the ropes. Murakami charged his midsection and tried to take him down, but McElory grabbed him and tossed him through the ropes and to the outside! These two then began scrapping on the outside, where McElroy rammed him into the railing and then began to pummel him and kick him. Murakami would fight back, slamming "Bam Bam's" back into the apron and then catching him with a big headbutt! McElroy stumbled, but then turned to Murakami and grabbed his head, delivering a big headbutt of his own! McElory sent Murakami back into the ring and Murakami stumbled, allowing McElroy to catch him and deliver a big German Suplex! The referee counted, but Murakami made it back up to his feet. McElroy ran off the ropes and hit a Lariat, getting the crowd pumped! Still, Murakami would get to his feet before the count of ten. McElroy ran off again, but this time Murakami ran and caught him with a jumping knee, before blasting him with some big left and right punches and then a big backfist! McElroy was stumbling, his eyes rather glazed over, before Murakami caught him with one more right and then a knee under the jaw! McElroy crumbled and the ref made the count. "Bam Bam" couldn't meet it, trying to get up but falling face first to the mat. Murakami advanced![/center]
