WWA SINGAPORE
RESULTS FROM 09/22/10
SMALL SHOW IN QUEENSTOWN
The promoter comes out and welcomes the crowd, letting them know that today is going to be the first special exhibition event for WWA Singapore to give fans from around the island a chance to see the brilliant fighting of their home WWA promotion. Once relegated to simply Singapore City, they are looking to outreach and give all of the fans a chance to be a part of the action, LIVE! Without any further hesitation, let's get to the action!
SINGLES MATCH
Menleus vs. Tang Seun Mun
This was a kickboxing style match up, at the start. Menleus had quite a bit of reach on his opponent, so Mun was forced to try and close the gap, closing the distance and nailing a number of inside knees. Menelus caught him with a big elbow from around the back, smashing into Mun, allowing him to deliver a jumping knee to take him down. Menleus would allow Mun to get up in a show of respect, but Seun Mun seemed pretty pissed. Mun wildly went in, swinging with haymakers, so Menleus decided to go for the kill, wrapping him up and taking him down, before hammering and elbowing his head into the ground, following that up with some big knees to the head. Mun tapped from strikes here, not wanting to take any more damage.
HARDCORE MATCH
"Black Angel" Jaki Numazawa vs. Fear
These two got the fans going, as they brawled all over the area. The veteran Fear had some recognition for his work in PWA and on WWA PPVs in the past, so he got quite the reaction and his size advantage allowed him to do quite well, here. Numazawa is a Japanese hardcore badass, and really looks and acts the part, and was able to get the victory with after hitting a Lariat and then hitting a Jaki Wicked Line onto some lighttubes, smashing them into Fear.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Mia Khan & Ti Khan vs. Yoji Anjo & Lai Choy Heng
Anjo and Choy Heng were looking to ground the Khan Brothers, who came out sporting a new look and an attitude, which got the fans interested. The older Mia was sporting a shaved head and beard, while Mia had lines cut into his head with some blonde in it. Anjo started out against Mia, but found himself a bit out powered and sent over with a couple of suplex variations that rocked him pretty hard. Ti was tagged in and showed a lot more speed, as well as some versatile kick variations. Choy Heng was stunned by a few kicks, but brushed them off and growled, delivering a big Lariat to take Ti down. Ti would come back and nail a Ganmenjiri to take Choy down and get a 7 count. The match would end after the Khan Brothers went on a tear, before Mia got Anjo up into the Doomsday position, which lead to Ti flying off the top and hitting him with a Thrust Kick to the chest, sending him crashing to the mat and down for the 10 count. The Khan Brothers were way over with these fans in Queenstown!
HARDCORE TRIOS TAG TEAM MATCH
Nightmare, Nite Wing, Darkside vs. Titan, Lord Maximus, Mt. Maximus
All of these men are wrestling veterans, and might be regarded as legends to some. This was a good, classic brawl, which saw everybody fighting in and out of the ring. The dark guys were playing the heels, of course, while Maximum Carnage were over pretty well as the big and bad ass faces. This match would come to an end after Lord Maximus and Mt. Maximus hit Nite Wing with the Super Bomb through a table to get the pinfall.
SINGLES MATCH
Yoon Dong-Sik vs. "Notorious" Scott Norris
Scott Norris was a bit outclassed in this contest. Yoon Dong-Sik is an expect Korean judo master, and Norris is more of a rounded shoot boxer. Norris is known for his bad attitude, and tried to play mind games with Dong-Sik, and actually caught him with some nice early punches and front kick early on. Norris made the mistake of trying to take Yoon down, however, which Yoon was able to sprawl off and catch him with a knee to the face. Norris was rocked by that, and Dong-Sik managed to grab him up and deliver a nice Camelin throw to crush Norris onto his neck! Norris got onto his back and tried to kick Dong-Sik away, so Yoon dove down and delivered a big elbow that rocked his jaw, before clamping on a Kimura and securing the submission victory.
HARDCORE TAG TEAM MATCH
Archduke Baelzbub & Bellah Ashcraft vs. Necro Butcher & Shadow WX
Classic formula to start, as Baelzbub and Ashcraft were playing the bad guys and mocking the fans, while Necro and Shadow came out with weapons and played to them, getting them behind them the whole way. Necro started the match with Baelzbub, and these two went back forth, brawling mostly, before Baelzbub took him to the mat and locked on a Half Crab, getting boos, which he encited. Shadow would come in and break it up, causing the ref to warn him, leading to Ashcraft and Baelzbub double teaming. Ashcraft would slap his hands together behind the refs back, making it sound like a tag was made, and then continued to assault Necro. Necro would catch Ashcraft with a few stiff headbutts, before tossing him to the outside and tagging to Shadow. Shadow would then go up top and fly out and onto Ashcraft, getting a big pop. Baelzbub would attack Shadow on the outside and piledrive him on the floor. They would all brawl around ringside, and Necro would take a lot of the fans' chairs and use them for various acts of violence. The match would come to an end when the former World Hardcore champion, Shadow WX, would go on to deliver a Brainbuster onto a chair to Baelzbub to get the victory!
