I know its been a while since I posted. Everyone is doing such a great job in the WWA, and that makes my job easy.
We should have the WWA domain running by this weekend. That has been such a nightmare with one problem after another. Should be ok now. Sorry for the delay and thanks to Carl for hosting the WWA webpage for us. Once we get the domain I will keep the webpage updated weekly and keep track of all the title historys as they change.
I have an idea that might make things easy. How would it work if we merge the NWA and WWA message board into one and add areas for MLW, ROH and APW? That way all of the feds in "our world of wrestling" will only have one message board to visit. I will even pay to get ads removed from the board. Ideas on that?
We should have WWA Britain running soon. That will get us back to full, leaving only Australia as the last on paper fed.
That is about all. One last idea. I think a monthly chat room visit would be helpful. We can gather everyone in the room to discuss anything we need. Ideas on that?
Let me know if anyone has suggestions to add. The WWA is YOUR promotion. And again a GREAT job to each and everyone of you.

John, I do like the idea of only having 1 message board, so I am for it. For the ad-free idea of the message bords, there are 2 ways to go about it... pay, or set one up on either the NWA website (was done at one point) or on the WWA site. to set it up takes about 20 minutes, and most of that is just creating the actual 'spaces' on the message boards. At any rate, I am all for it. BTW, MLW is part of the NWA. They were teetering on leaving the NWA, but things have changed.

I agree with John and Sam on one message board too.
I also think we need an area to list current rosters. It is very hard to locate all the NWA promotions rosters.
Got to run for now.

John, Dave, Carl:
Rather than paying to make it ad free, let me know if you want the NWA (or WWA) site to host it.
If on the WWA, I can walk you through it. If on the NWA, like I said, it will take 10-15 miutes to get all set up.

I was just talking to Don about this, and I think it is completely necessary. Also, I'm not sure you guys have ever used a ProBoard before, and I sent John a message about this, but you have to manually activate an account to have mod powers. What I mean by that is each forum has a moderator assigned to it in the hub when you create the forum. That alone, however, does not give the person moderator powers.
To make someone a moderator and be able to add, delete, and sticky threads in their forums, you have to go into the individual user's profile, go into the Modify Profile option, and then change their status or member group, whatever it is, to moderator, and that will give them moderator powers over their assigned forum.
Whomever may have the power to do that, please, I would like to have moderator powers so I can organize my forum better and post a current roster, and I think it would be nice if every promotion in the world would have a forum for which they can post current rosters. Thank you.
EDIT: Okay, it looks like John took care of things on my end, but it's just something I'd like to suggest to keep things organized. I know I have a lot of interest in bringing in talent, both signing and booking, so it'd be good to know I have an up to date list I'm working with.

Yeah it does make it easier to have certain things posted on the board, however if I start posting my roster on the board then I will just do away with my website all together and just start posting threads for everything on my boards instead.. but yeah all good ideas from everyone

Has long as you have a link to the webpage where your roster is posted is all that is neeeded. You don't have to post the complete roster. It is just impossible right now to locate some of the promotions roster.
I also would just soon see use the WWA board as the NWA board is way to crowded. I think all we need is message areas for both the NWA and WWA and the independent feds: for booking titles and wrestlers, posting shows, new membership info and such. Then give every member promotion a board to use for posting news, updates and events. An Out of Character is always good. Last we need the roster board for trades and free agents.
And yes any promoter should then have moderator access. I know how to update that stuff, not sure that John does.
I will try to get ahold of David, again and see if he is ok with this idea.

Here's what I would suggest:
GENERAL
General Forum (for OOC and questions) News and Updates Forum (IC stuff) Free Agents & Trades Interviews & Roleplay Board (just incase anybody wants to cut a roleplay with a guy)
WORLD WRESTLING ALLIANCE - GENERAL
WWA Current Champions (Just to have like a topic for each active title, and either who the champ is, or perhaps keep a title history in there? Or just a link to the website would work if it it is regularly updated.) WWA Championship Booking Forum General Booking Forum WWA Events (to post topics to results for big WWA PPV shows)
WORLD WRESTLING ALLIANCE MEMBER PROMOTIONS
Post promotions in alphabetical order.
NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE - GENERAL
All of the stuff we had for WWA, just for NWA here.
NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE - MEMBERS
Post all member promotions in alphabetical order.
INDEPENDENT PROMOTIONS
List all independent promotions here in alphabetical order, plus I'd say maybe a General Booking thread so they can book each other's talent, or anybody in the alliances could book their talent.

Talked to David, he said ok.
Do we want to A) Make a New Message Board. B) Keep the WWA Board and move the NWA over. C) Keep the NWA Board and move the WWA over.
We will do that on the IPW board. (as soon as get it final)

I would vote for a new 'universal' board, but that is JMO. We can link over to the 'old boards' or post what needs to be posted, as needed. But I am up for what ever.
